"I have approached all of my patients with a sense of wonderment at the story that will unfold. I believe that a different therapy must be constructed for each patient because each has a unique story." Irvin Yalom

"it takes courage to become who you really are." e.e. cummings

My hope and desire for those I counsel (and myself) is to live a full and authentic life. I believe that by coming to know how and why we relate to the world in the ways we do, we are able to be more successful and satisfied in our lives and relationships.

Working from relational, existential and psychodynamic therapeutic models, my style facilitates engagement with clients around their personal stories and how those stories hinder or enhance their ability to not only manage life but to live it fully.

For interested clients, my therapeutic approach expands beyond traditional talk therapy to include gentle expressive arts such as journaling, collage work, and music.

My unique qualifications come from a combination of educational and spiritual training gained through a Masters of Counseling Psychology degree from Mars Hill Graduate School, several years as a counselor-trainer and group facilitator, an internship association with the Medical Family Therapy program at Seattle Pacific University, business and human resource work plus invaluable life experience.

I am a licensed mental health counselor in the State of Washington (#LH60081018).
