Today is the feast day of St. Lucy - patron saint of the blind. It has become a tradition for me to share my own Tale of Lucy on this festival day.
What is the Art of Pondering? This process of turning things over in our minds and hearts. Entering the world and releasing it back out. Stepping in and letting go. Recently, I had the privilege of sharing my thoughts on the topic. This post is a brief synopsis of that talk.
The holiday season can be a tricky one to navigate. Oh let's face it, LIFE can be tricky to navigate, especially if we think we're the ones in charge and perfection with a capital P is the ultimate mission. We make a list and check it twice, three times, to infinity... and then what? Things change or don't go as we planned! The only thing we can control is how we perceive the changes.
I wrote a novel this month. Wow! Do you know how much fun that is to write? I'll do it again... I wrote a novel this month! Before the tingle wears off and I invite my inner critic and editor to step back in (btw - I sent them on vacation for the month of November and highly recommend it), I wanted to share the delight of accomplishment with you.
